Ok it's funny how things happen, and we have had a few conflabs about cheap nasty chinese copy calpiers for the Mx/Roadsters that are doing the rounds, more so on the Bay of E, but are also being sold through auto outlets.
If they are cheap, then they are cheap for a reason, unlucky for a fellow...

Mk1 front caliper overhaul.

After removing the front caliper from the car you'll need to remove the piston. I find it easier with a air hose. Put your hand behind the piston & it will stop it getting damaged also give short blasts from the air gun.

MK1 Rear Brake Caliper Overhaul

After removing the caliper from the car you'll first need to remove the dust bolt that covers the adjuster shown here.

With an Allen key unwind the adjuster until you feel it has come away from the worm drive within the calliper. This is done by turning in a clockwise direction.

Tip top....
When adjusting the rear handbrake with the splined allan key grub and you find the splines/teeth are warn smooth, there is no need to wait for a new adjuster grub to arrive, you can just cut the old one down to fresh splines/teeth and it will work fine again Choice is is yours on how...
