Thanks for the information I will get drill bits, also once the panels are welded together is it best to seal the inner wheel arch edge with seam sealer?

Hi, I am going to cut out the rust on my Mk1 sill and wheel arch but was wondering how to remove the panel edges that are spot welded like the wheel arch lip. Do I grind away the metal until it leaves the panel behind or do I leave the lip in place and fit the new panel over the top and plug weld ar...

Hi all, thinking of changing my brake fluid for ate super blue not because I race but for the ease of changing as it will be easy to see when all the old fluid is out. Sucked some oil out with oil extraction pump and it is a dark red colour so think I will suck the rest out and fill with new oil, did i read once you recommend not to disturb the filter unless absolutely necessary? Dave.

It looks like it is picking up oil from the tube which is giving a false reading and is different on both sides of the dipstick.

Auto gearbox oil
Hi, I am finding it difficult to check the oil level on my Mk1 1.6 auto as when the dip stick is withdrawn after following the check procedure there is not a defined line where the level is. Is this normal or does this indicate the oil needs replacing, the oil does not look too dirty. Dave.
