Pete's just noticed a Small Oil Leak (back of the engine?)

Postby MrChrome » Sun Oct 14, 2012 12:25 pm

With all this weather, rain and all, Pete's noticed that there a small oil leak after he's parked up at night. He says he's checked the oil a few times and it doesn;'t seem to be losing any... but there is definately a leak - there a coloured puddle on the floor after it's rained...

He thinks it's coming from the back of the engine but says he can't see anything that might be leaking.

Any ideas?

I`d be checking the cam cover & cam sensor o-ring for leaks.

Another check Pete could do is to check the level of the clutch fluid, it could be a leaking clutch slave cylinder.

Gearbox oil could be leaking from the front seal too.

Pete's checked the Cam O ring and there seems to be oil there - he's going to change both the O Ring and the Cam Cover.
