I have a 1.8 '95 Uk spec (manual gearbox, windows and steering!) Mx5 with the button type fob immobilizer.

Panic over guys! Just found my key and fob in the house!!!!! (under all the shoes in the shoe cupboard - must'ave dropped them there).

Thanks guys, not esp helpful but thanks for trying!!!!

The question remains - if it is a factory fitted (which seems likely), to change the locks inc ignition barrel, will i have to replace the ECU?

Its got early ones with detachable headrests which i'd like to replace with the later type with integrated headrest (and speaker).
You will probably tell me that there are 200 seat types now!!!!????
