Tip when polishing under the bonnet

Postby flea » Wed Apr 10, 2013 8:37 pm

Remember everything you do even the simple little things

Removed hoses, spark plug leads, few tubes & diagnostic box from bracket. Had a little spruce up after the winter months like you do.

Started car & she over revved like a banshee

What the hell.

Did you wind the nuts off of the throttle cable so you could clean the threads up and didn't adjust them when you put it back together?
Or did you re-mount the throttle cable bracket on the wrong way around?

I don't know that is supposed to be there, but that engine bay is tidier, cleaner and better decorated than my study. Can I move in?

:text-thankyouyellow:

The reason for my problem was that i just pushed the throttle cable so the bend was facing down instead of as is in the picture.
