Underseal from a Compressor Choice of Guns

Postby drumtochty » Thu Nov 03, 2016 6:41 pm

I'm going to be using my large compressor to underseal a Mk3, in the past I have used aerosols and a brush.

My thoughts are the aerosols with the long wand do not have enough grunt to really blast the inside of cavities and you guys I reckon believe that.

To do underneath do you guys just use the 1litre tubes of Schultz or your choice of Dinitrol in 1 litre tubes etc. and a Schultz gun or do you use a pressure pot and apply from that.

With regards to cavities and sills.

Most Schultz guns come with a flexi wand with one hole in the end and cost circa £10 to £16. The Dinitrol one is nearer £25 or so and appears to be a standard Schultz gun but the wand flexi nozzle has a number of holes on the outer surface that may suggest you will get better coverage. Again what guns do you use or do you guys use or do you use a pressure pot and flexi.

I have ordered the see through masking film that Wayne used recently on the Mk4.
