This is dead easy and works, i hit the problem many years back struggling to get the oils or fluids in without getting it everywhere and all over yourself, and trying to find something made for the job, which i never found.
So....
The gear oil, will or should come in a applicator half ltr or 1 ltr plastic bottle, like these?.....
pull the applicator part up and remove it from the bottle.
Cut it so you have the lid with a bit and the lid with a bit( half).
Next you need a long plastic tube....
Push the tube into either end and heat up the applicator parts and prees to fit the extension tube tighter....
Once you have finished shrinking the ends(which i hope will be a lot neater than mine, but not bad as i was on my way out to help Ste with his diff) pull them back off and put some super glue on the ends of the extensiom tube and push the applicator bits back on and into place to stick and seal.
Once you are happy that it is dry and sealed, wrap some electric tape on just to make double sure that they are sealed .
Job done, they are re-useable, the lid can be just screwed onto the next new bootle ,or in my case i get in many 5 ltr or 10 ltr containers, so I can just top back up, and have them for Gearbox oil, diff oil, power steering oil, brake fluid, or what ever you need, and marked up correct.
And it will work, as i am sure Ste will varify from useing one for his diff.
Don't spend daft money,on tools that will not work.

What you put in, you'll get back ten fold
