Pete has a problem with his MK2 electric window

Postby Mazda Mender » Mon Oct 15, 2012 10:34 am

When he tries to put the electric window down, it only goes down a 1" or so and stops, he can still hear the motor going, it will go back up again, but if he tries again to lower it it stops dead again.
Can you help him out?

I'd guess that one of the cables in the mech. has popped off. They sometime come unclipped and just need putting back on.

Pete needs to take the door card off - BUT he must remember the little tabs on the door card. They are in the door shut - you get them out by pulling the centre... Then you can look and see inside.

Pete tried that and now the window travels all the way down.
