Honda and the inferior parts

Postby Mazda Mender » Mon Aug 16, 2021 10:58 am

This is the second time this unit as failed and at £70 a pop its turning into an expensive exercise.
So another new one ordered , but this time i took it completely apart to see just whats happing, the unit looks like a pressure valve because of how it fails , it is shearing the head of the bolts off, but on further inspection the disc in there as cracked , oh and according to the "Honda technician" i am wrong with a pressure valve and was corrected to it being a "clutch fluid damper", so pressure valve then, get over yourself.
So anyway i drilled out the broken bolt stud, and made a new S/steel disc to fit, cleaned it up and re fitted it and bled off , ....perfect, it will last longer than the CRV now, to me it is a total unnecessary part on the clutch system and totally inferior part and not up to the job with the metal weak disc...
So if anyone else as a CRV, don't buy a new part to fail again at £70 odd.
