Never considered a cabriolet, always wanted a good two seater soft top, never a fan on the new MGs, dreamed of a Spitfire or TR4,6. Unfortunately couldn't fit in the dammed things, tried an MX and hey presto "HOOKED"

:laughing-rolling:
1993 1.6 Eunos Roadster (gone)
1998 UK Mk 2 1.6 (gone)
2003 1.8 SVT Sport (shouldnt have sold it)
1991 1.6 Eunos Roadster with a bit of bling.

Life is a journey, best travelled topless in an MX5!!

Had a Fiat X19 1500 from new back in 1982. Great car to drive, easy to redline as most Fiats of that era were, but boy was it badly made...water ingress all over the place, and generally a bit tinny. Loved it though, had always wanted one!!

MGF vvc, 986 Boxster and caterham bought new. The caterham I assembled myself which was little more than doing a Lego kit.

I’ve also had 2 imprezas 5 golf gti’s an Audi Quattro and a group f Alfa 75 and my daily driver is a 2017 scirocco.

I think very few people make an interesting car you could contemplate as a practical daily driver these days - possibly a couple of the fast fords, the mx5 nd the GR86 and the lotus.
