A few of the interesting cars I have owned over the fifty years I have been driving. Unfortunately I don't have photos of some of my earlier ones such as the TR3A and the early Sprite, or of the AC 2 Litre saloon. I do wish I had kept some of them! However, the Eunos is great fun, not too valuable to worry about the odd scratches and small dents etc.

Like the Jag.

At one time back in the mid sixties, when my old man was dealing cars in Ilford, we had a 3.4 a 3.8 and two Xk150s -wish we had managed to keep them! ( along with the Healey 3000 P1800 etc etc but perhaps not the Ford Thunderbird which went everywhere sideways
even in the dry :-D )

The first pics look suspiciously like a PCT, which we still organise although they are just called Trials now.

The first pics are indeed a PCT (I have no idea why there are several copies of the same pic). I bought the 1931 Morris Minor when I retired, I had always fancied having a pre war car. Soon realised it was a mistake, too small, too slow and too valuable to be throwing at the countryside so I sold it and bought the Eunos. I had the Mk 2 Jag from 1981 to 2007 and used it fairly regularly before selling to a friend in Bahrain who is taking it back to South Africa now he has retired. The 911 was my 60th birthday present to myself in 2007, lovely car and I enjoyed having it in Bahrain where I lived 6 miles from the F1 track, plenty of track days! However, too expensive, not the right car for the UK so I sold it when I retired.

The Eunos is a great car for PCT's and Autotests. My son and I took it to Oulton Park on a wet November day back in 2013 and discovered that the tyres were well past their sell by date despite plenty of tread. The Kleber Quadraxers I have on it now have transformed it!

And the old 1949 BSA 350cc I still have, bought in Nigeria for ÂŁ30 in 1994 covered in chicken s**t and seized but complete, I restored it in early 2001 and still use it now it is registered here in the UK.

going to have to try and scan some old 35mm photos to show my pride and joys, Mk1s and Mk2 Escorts and now don't laugh, but a Mini Traveller that was a little bit special (all Cooper running gear and clocks)

Some old Honda's but nothing as old as the BSA however I do sport a scar from my dads old Beezer!!

Rose tinted glasses maybe but the Mk1 MX5 reminds me of how cars used to be, relatively simple and bloody good fun to drive.
1993 1.6 Eunos Roadster (gone)
1998 UK Mk 2 1.6 (gone)
2003 1.8 SVT Sport (shouldnt have sold it)
1991 1.6 Eunos Roadster with a bit of bling.

Life is a journey, best travelled topless in an MX5!!

Some nice looking motors there. Think I'm too young to even know half of them lol.

Is this an excuse for us all to share our car history?
