So i answered a question on the OC board...

Postby Mazda Mender » Wed Sep 27, 2023 7:16 am

Mr up his own ar*e asked a question and being a mender and the direction in which we try to help i answered the question....here is a link to Mr snow flakes and full of his own self worth thread... https://forum.mx5oc.co.uk/t/rusting-sil ... hes/140072

I was shocked to read his come back, and as a helpful person with these roadsters to fellow owners , was a bit ticked off, And if i am being accused of being sarcastic , here goes....Ian H and his manly power trip jumped in to remove my reply ( and Mr snow flakes reply back to me) and left a really witty comment, oh my god he is so funny " what a fine figure of a man" , and yes Ian mac jock power trip man , a pillar of the community , life and soul of the party, everyone makes a bee line to him because he is soooooooo popular and interesting,it did rattle me because of the commitment i was given and the way we help in the whole scene that you have no idea about, and never ever will, including with and for the club, well out ways your Sharif's badge on that board and anything you have done for just your area in your time, so big toys to rattle freely, i have earned it.

The comments that were " removed" come through on email so saved, and will post up the screen shots also..., maybe i over reacted? , but i did not deserve the put down, and seen red from the guys attitude.

Now the other thing that really got to me and p*ssed me right off is that i noticed a couple of owners on that thread that use this forum and know what we do and why, and could clearly see that my question was not sarcastic or a put down to MR snow flake, and none of them put this t*t right on that score, so thanks chaps for the back up, i seriously don't know why i carry on caring to help anymore as everyone seems to be caring about nothing but themselves ...

Hi Wayne,
This seems a familiar trait that occurs when you try to assist some people via the OC forums. Please be aware that your time and knowledge and ease of instructions is highly regarded in this community.

Thanks

Wayne.

As you know we left the OC some time ago for a number of reasons.

A change in the old guard, the ones who made everyone feel welcome in any mark of MX5 replaced by the ones who seemingly snubbed anyone driving anything but a mk3 or newer.

The old guard who would offer help and advice, no longer came to meets and I only ever had one good interaction with an OC guru via the club forum.

We and our friends from York didn't feel welcome, so we both quit.

I then stumbled across Mazda Menders, a site where it doesnt matter if its a mk1, 2,2.5 or 3 or newer but a site that welcomes anyone into the world of MX5s and having a go your self and all for a small donation each year.

Perhaps the OC have forgotten the principals of being in a club, or perhaps they feel that they are above those who like to have a go themselves and have lost all sense of fun, which is what these wee cars are meant to be about.

I for one owe a great debt of gratitude to you and some other fellow Menders for the help and advice I have been given over the last few years.

The OCs loss is without doubt our gain. You are the Mazda Mender who we all need to steer the ship with your able crew of other Menders by your side.

Do I need to say anything else.
1993 1.6 Eunos Roadster (gone)
1998 UK Mk 2 1.6 (gone)
2003 1.8 SVT Sport (shouldnt have sold it)
1991 1.6 Eunos Roadster with a bit of bling.

Life is a journey, best travelled topless in an MX5!!

Wouldn't worry about it MM, you have helped a lot of people

The OC used to be good 10-15 years ago but the competence and "interest in doing stuff" has gone. The national rally is basically standing in a field looking at cars covered in stick on chrome wondering where that smell of p*ss is coming from
