Soft Top Cleaning

Postby agent_orange » Fri Sep 21, 2012 11:02 am

So its that sad time of year where I will be fitting the hard top on. But before I do, its probably worth giving the soft top and good scrub.

So whats the best way of cleaning the soft top? Which products is recommended? And how many buckets should I use?

Just a good wash, then some Renovo cleaner, and maybe use some Renovo proofer so that its all done and sorted before being tucked away.

Just initially wash it using the same car shampoo as would be used to wash the body?

If you can get your hands on one a low bar power washer is a good tool to use first, to help with a deep clean.

Yes, and it wont hurt to give it a scrub with something like a kitchen brush or a nail brush

Here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01_0a1tQY9k though you have to buy more than one product for the full treatment it seems.

Ideally you need the cleaner and the proofer.
