Soft top Sealant Advice??

Postby Leafo » Mon Apr 14, 2014 1:53 pm

Hi there

I just noticed this weekend that the seal around the glass window on my MK1 soft top hood seams to be coming away (I've attached a couple of pictures), ideally I'd like to keep the hood for another year or two before replacing it. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could use to seal it as a temporary fix?

Any advice much appreciated

thanks, Hayley

Most automotive stores do a blister pack with a small tube of sealant in clear , black or brown which is the way to go and will last.

Also always a good idea to silicone lube all them sort of bits like the window rubbers. It makes them last a lot longer & they stay pliable too :handgestures-thumbup:
