Prepping for Waxstock show 7th July

Postby Speedy » Fri Jun 28, 2013 7:31 pm

Having done the front and rear subframes in the Spring there was not time to concentrate on the rear hubs and driveshafts so been spending every spare minute getting them prepped for show. Also removing the Dinitrol from the rear quarters and bumper.

Polished the show disks with some fine steel wool mixed with metal polish.

Lovely motor - i admire your dedication to it.

I bought a brand new Mitsubishi back in 2005 - never ran it in rain and garaged over winter. Sadly had to sell to buy a house. One day i'll do the same again with another car, my current MX will be garaged over winter, but its seen a couple already so it'll never look new again, well, not without far too much money spending on her.

Grew up on fast cars and bikes, bought a house and there it ended! GSXR 750 k5 and a Silver 2.0 Sport - both summer toys and long may the fun continue!

Winter does not do any of them any favours, fortunately this one has never been out in winter and every bolt comes out still with the zinc coating on the threads and is a delight to work on.
Spending money on her is easy I dread to think what I have spent, just as well I stopped counting long ago.
