Low Oil Pressure - Continued

Postby sylva » Mon Sep 14, 2020 8:28 pm

I have had low oil pressure readings on my 92 Eunos for many years but have just kept an eye on it as the engine seemed to run nicely. Last year I re wired the connector to the sender and this improved things. Over the last few weeks the pressure reading was starting to be a little low again even with clean contacts. Now my battery is getting a little tired so over the weekend I gave it a good 24 hour charge as the car was becoming slugish to turn over and start, it starts fine now. Anyway as a result of a fully charged battery I am now getting bang on specified oil pressure readings. So it seems that a tired battery can also affect your oil pressure readings.

Sometimes the simple things can make a difference.
