IO Play Removal Mk3

Postby Shadgrind » Mon Nov 06, 2017 10:37 am

I have the above system in my car it’s not the io play 2. It doesn’t have a screen that has a parrot style control unit with call answer fast forward rewind buttons on it.

I try pulling the whole thing out carefully and ended up with no sound from my stereo. I plugged the big orange box back in left the small one disconnected and everything worked again, so is the system totally entrenched? Or can I remove some wiring and end up plugging the original stereo back in by its original wiring and ripping out the bundle of wires that are now attached to the orange box?Image

Those look like speaker loops, looks like you would need to start from scratch from the first white plug, there must be a patch lead on the bay of e.

Well to be honest that’s not actually my system I slide that picture off Google images, mine is far more entrenched of the wires just disappear down into the governance of the behind the dashboard.I am an able to see the white plug let alone touch it I’ll have another look tomorrow off now later on today while I finish off tidying up my install of the echo.in my car which is brilliant fits in the cupholder perfectly!

That I.O System is a pain in my rear end to be honest just riled up my OCD compulsions to get rid of the orange box even though it works at the moment, I’m not looking forward to the day when it goes wrong and I have nothing to take the stereo out with!
