Postby Mazda Mender » Tue Aug 27, 2019 9:20 pm

We are looking for clean tidy examples for our stand at the rally with Autolinkmx5 and Jass performance of either a MK 2/2.5 1.6 and a MK 3 either a 1.8 or 2ltr, possibly a MK 4???? ...added on bits are fine but the less messed with the better as we will be needing them as demo cars to be pointed at with any questions, please contact myself/admin with any interest.

Hi Wayne.
I know it's a bit late in the day and the places are probably all taken, but at the moment i am 90% sure i will be going and if you don't mind i will travel down with you even if there are no spaces left.
Where and what time are you doing a meet up to travel down?
Regards Dave.
P.S. I may be traveling down with a NDRF owner.
Marble White NC1 Icon.
Vented bonnet.
Quad tipped exhaust.
Stebel horn.
More cosmetic bits than you can shake a stick at.
Switchbacks fitted.
And yes it is a Sunday car.

Massive massive heart felt thank you to everyone that made the effort to help menders at the clubs national rally...thank you to the donations from the club members we helped there with issues and problems in the mess we struggled with after the health check we should of had that was not...so thanks OC for that extra struggle to help your members......also we hope the car comps owners enjoyed our banter from judging 20 cars and we were fair with removed points that we did explain to be addressed and by all means contact and we'll explain how to sort them...cannot believe the weather the sun burnt everyone.. Claire came over and her skin was as red as her hair...thanks to everyone that came chatting and just popping around to see the gang...means a lot.... personally i never got a chance to walk around ....thanks to the young lady that does not know her own strength and pulled my old faithful extendable breaker bar apart...everyone with us looked very busy..Andrew from Autolinkmx5 with Charlie and Gaz...Vlad from Jass performance and Ian from Mx5 Tech with the gang...it is the last time Sameer will be with us personally as he escapes Brexit and moves back to his birth country...you will be deeply missed buddy..so thanks to Graham,Liz,Ian,Colin,Sameer, paula and Dave,Andrey,Daryl ,John...and Ashleigh for the teams cup cakes..
Long day .. the support from you all and sponsors ... great people....great weather....and two lost head light lids some sleep later...time to put everything away..to maybe the next one...???

Any pics????

I need to have a gripe about car people at shows and rallies...i was under the illusion that there was a respect thing with cars on display,on stands or on show that there is a "DO NOT TOUCH" policy.. i now see that is far from the case from seeing it a number of times to my own although being told is never the case ian Mchattie and Iain Fleming....and also felt the DON'T TOUCH respectable car people messing on my Mk1 on the way home driving very un stable and twitchy for nearly 3 hrs in rain which was clear that they had been messing with the damping on my meisters...which was correct on checking today that someone with fingers that want cutting off did mess....so to any one that was at the Clubs rally yesterday with cars on show....CHECK YOUR CARS.....these people do not care it is on show and not to be messed with...the next time this happens i will follow you to your car you DROVE in and mess with yours with lack of respect which is annoying as we bring display meisters to touch and talk about on the menders stand .....respect what is not yours at car events... As it should be... otherwise we will not bring cars and come in future..go and f**k about with your own and lick them with a new set of crayons..

All those lovely red Mazda's lined up, what a sight to behold.

Just wish that ours was maybe somehow stuck in the middle instead of being stuck down Glen Etive behind a number of Nissan GTR's, the last one with about 2" ground clearance and catching every single bump there was!! Ouch

I thought ours was bad enough with about 5" clearance and the occasional scrape.

That said on the open road, well I just waved goodbye and went the other way. :auto-layrubber:
1993 1.6 Eunos Roadster (gone)
1998 UK Mk 2 1.6 (gone)
2003 1.8 SVT Sport (shouldnt have sold it)
1991 1.6 Eunos Roadster with a bit of bling.

Life is a journey, best travelled topless in an MX5!!

i thought that being in the centre of things would minimise lots of walking, BUT when sent off to go help a stranded driver retrieve his keys from the boot of his car, I thought he had parked in another county. Wandering around the car park with the MM universal key was quite amusing.

Anyway I enjoyed it, I even fixed a noisy alternator (after making it even worse) and getting a dent knocked out of the back of the car.

All in all "A Grand Day Out"

Oh and we mustn't forget the Spa tent that Wayne brought, took 3 guys twenty minutes to put up. (Wayne next time don't forget the Hot Tub)

Thanks to all on the Stand for the good cameraderie.
