Triple QX Oils

Postby Pendric Lumpybeard » Wed Oct 30, 2013 9:51 pm

These are Euro car parts own brand I think? Anyone used their oils? Are they OK? Only they have an online sale on at the moment and are doing 5 litres of semi-synth 10w40 for £12.49, so if it is in anyway half decent I thought i might stock up on some.

Thanks!

No, TripleQX is Comma brand - very good quality. I bought 5L myself - for that price you can't moan.

(by the way, their 'sales' are extremely common and oil is their most popular sale item, so don't go thinking you need to buy gallons of it)

Thanks binary, good to know, I'll get some ready for the next oil change. That kind of price encourages frequent changes :-)

I guess Euro Car parts must be the DFS of the automotive world with their 'sales' then

In a way, although their standard prices are fairly normal and the sale prices are pretty good. They don't claim that the standard price for the oil is £200 per litre, TripleQX is normally about £20 in my local motor factor. The problem with DFS is that they claim a cheapass mass produced sofa is 'normally' £2500, now 'only' £800 (when IKEA want £300 for the same sort of thing only better made!)
