Head rest speakers

Postby mk1divemaster » Tue Sep 03, 2013 7:39 pm

Wanting to change my head rest speakers as they are split and making a noise!!

I've heard you can put 4x4 inch speakers in , but how do you keep the integrity of the cushion if you have to cut all the padding out ? Please advise :-) :confusion-confused:

The JVC speakers are a popular upgrade & you will only need to remove enough foam so you can zip up the head rest without it bulging.

Maplins do a cheaper option that get good reviews.

Not heard the Maplins ones myself but there was a long thread on Nutz about them a couple of years back & everyone seemed pleased with them. A Google search will probably find the thread.

The JVC ones work well & are often on Ebay if you don`t fancy the price of new ones.

I chose a nice set of Pioneers from caraudiodirect for £15/pr and they are excellent.
