Odd formatting problem

Postby paggers » Thu Aug 15, 2013 8:01 am

Hi - I wasn't on the forum yesterday but since my last check something seems to have changed. Now when I read a post I get a large blank space at the top between the 'Announcement' banner and the blue bar listing the post title. I don't get it on the forum sections view, or when listing unread posts, just when I read a post but it is on every post.

It's not terminal, just a bit annoying having to scroll down as the post itself is off the bottom of the browser.

An update - I'm running Safari in case that helps. I also just noticed that while on the main site pages there is a narrow black border down each side to separate the controls from the edge of the broswer window now on posts that is also gone. So the post page is taking up the full width of the page and the controls are pushed right to the edge. Again not an issue, it just looks wierd and contrasts with the layout for the rest of the site.

If I had to guess I would say there was probably a change done to the template for the posts page in the past couple of days?

Agent Orange is the guy for this, and I know at the moment he is up to his eyes in work and also forum stuff, so it may take a little while for him to answer.

I don't think it is a Mac problem. I just quickly logged on from my work machine (Win7 & IE8) and I get the same two formatting issues with posts - large blank section at the top and no border at the sides.

We can wait on a fix, nothing terminal.

I'm not seeing anything unusual. I'm on W7 & FF but using the old Mazda-menders theme.

I know exactly what it is I put in thats causing this, but I dont know why it only seems to affect some browsers.

Rest assured this is part of a priority feature so will get fixed.

Switched to the new 'Lighter' look and the big space at the top of each post page is back. As before it's annoying not terminal but would be nice if you could sort it out.

Liking the lighter theme so far.
