Stubby Aerial 1993 Mk1

Postby drumtochty » Thu Dec 17, 2015 2:00 pm

Car has an electric aerial that does not work but I have not seen it yet.

So either change the mast if the electrics are OK or the owners fancies a stubby aerial.

Looking at the mx5parts site you need the manual base plus their kit form the Mk3 to go stubby.

Ebay of course have the full kit for £5.

Has anyone gone the stubby aerial route on a MK1 and is there one you can buy that both fits and works by giving a good signal when you take the electrical one out.

I swapped the electric to a standard OE fixed base and bought a nice mast off the bay of E, works spot on.
