Siezed Cranck shaft pulley bolt on Mk2.5

Postby Chris.P.P.Bacon » Thu Apr 11, 2019 5:53 am

Hi All,
The retaining bolt on the timing belt pulley wheel of my Mk2.5 has seized solid.
No amount of swearing, WD40, Plus gas, Impact wrench will shift it.
Has anyone got any suggestions?
I'd rather not wait until I get stranded at the roadside when it breaks but if that's the only option then so be it.
Cheers

I'm in North Hampshire.
I don't want to mention names as I have every faith that they did all they could.

I get that, but keep them away from the roadster as they clearly don't know what they are doing bud, its an expensive "got it wrong" fudged it ,to be put right from someone helping and "i'll have a go" rather than "i can do that" if you know what i mean.
I was going to use the one we did at the NEC live for pics and a guide , but busy was an understatement ,so i am doing the daughters this weekend to take photos off and build a guide to be used and followed, which will be a in depth how to in sections to understand for everyone, which will take a full weekend taking pics as i go rather than 3-4 hrs, then i'll work on the guide which with any luck will go live the following weekend.
I may of asked?
Is she a MK 2.5 1.8 VVT or 1.6?
