Is my Mk2 exhaust stock?

Postby Osaka_Kev » Wed Feb 17, 2016 9:15 pm

Hi,

Can anyone tell if my Mk2 exhaust is standard? It's a 2000 Rs import!

I want a louder exhaust so thinking of the Colbolt or the Mx5 parts single exhaust!

Cheers

Yes it is, single and twin s/steel mx5parts/il motorsports zorts are good value for money, but keep an eye on the support brackets.

Thanks Mazda Mender, will do!

Do you know if the Mx5 parts single exhaust (don't fancy cutting the bumper) is louder than the Colbolt one?

They are about the same, but i do like the note from the Mx5parts/IL motorsport ones, all mine have them, normal traffic and a nice rumble, open her up and you get a lovely growl.

Thanks!

The Mx5 parts one is the one I want but the Cobolt is on sale at the minute so it's about half the Mx5 parts one!

The Colbolt one has a cheesy badge but think that comes off and the pipe is a bit big!

Sorry, if I went for a mid pipe as well would mine have the sleeve type catalyst? It's a 1.8 Rs 6 speed year 2000

No standard fitting just like a standard MK 2 1.8.

Thanks!

There is a cobra one on eBay for an Nb with a mid pipe but it only fits 'sleeve type catalyst' so guess it won't fit!
