Hi Brgdane, what spray set up are you using? ie. what kind/size compressor and spray gun are you using?

I use this compressor and this tiny aircleanser/water trap.
I have a better air cleaning solution in the pipeline.
Not an ideal setup, but I spend all the money on paint guns

Hi,

Just a thought/comment based on want I've been told re your water trap comment. You do need a a PROPER water tray, not just a cheap gun mounted water tray/filter. It's very easy to get moisture from the compressor into the air line and paint. The Paint then over time will 'micro blister' resulting in small imperfections in the paint finish. This applies to the primer as well as the top coat.

What paint are you using?

Hope this is helpful.

Thanks for the input john&luke
I have just sealed the car with epoxy to avoid rust on the bare metal.it is getting cold and wet around here and i am working a lot the next month.
A proper water trap will be installed before carrying on.
Paint is from Ludwig Lacke in Germany, and after epoxy it's getting higbuild polyester primer/filler, base coat and 2 pack clear. My plan is to flow coat the clear, 3 layers, hardening, sanding, then 2 more coats.
I will continue documenting progress, setbacks and lessons learned

Setback :
Found a high spot in the left back fender, Tried to tap it down an broke the weld
I then cut a slit and welded it again. Sanded back to bare metal and now it's back to square one.
Repaired the rear panel between the lights. It had some fine cracks and a small lip had broken off.
I managed to sculpt the lip in fiberglass , looks all right now.
Started sanding the bumpers. Quite difficult as they are wobbly.
