No air locks and and up to temp with the cooling fan kicking in and out as it should which brings us bang up to date with old faithful, there was a small oil weep which turned out to be the cam seal on the left shaft, but replaced all seals as a course of action,CAS O'ring seal as already been done and a new OE rocker cover seal fitted to...service, and engine clean next, then into the cab then refurb the rims

Me thinks if I was ever to look at increasing my MX ownership or god forbid replace our old beloved Mk1, we might be tempted for a sorted Mazdamender Motor!!

Cracking work and its amazing what you can do when you know what your doing??

Now what was I doing errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! cant remember now.

Service...
Not much needs doing as the rest as been done, so fresh fuel filter, new spark plugs , air filter cleaned , re-oiled, old oil out and filter off and new ones done, engine clean next, fudge it was cold last night...

It looks like even the mender needs mending every now and then but it looks like its getting sorted right.

The problem in the scene which grinds me is that the "well knowns "like to keep up and image and facade when it comes to their roadsters and do not want the scene to be shown or told that their/ours also need sorting ,fixing and mending, i am in the real world, i spanner fix and mend and i share what i know to help others regardless, we also need to deal with wear and tear including tin worm, paint if the need be,Engines,gearboxes,diffs,alternator fails, ECU's, CAS, coil packs etc etc, we are not in special mender bubbles that mother nature avoids because of who we are and what we do, we are just lucky that we know how to do it.
I have nothing to hide and neither should some of the rest ....but they do for image which is a killer.
All mine are used, none of them have ever gone to sleep in a heated garage for winter, and need to deal with what ever mother nature throws at them her in the UK, just like everyone else.
Unfortunately my old faithful was parked for some time on lime stone chippings which had a plastic sheet underneath so she sweated, we live and learn, so she will be revamped not restored as we are NOT at the restoring stage with these roadsters, she will be put right, as will the MK 2(you can follow that) the MK 1 plaything which will get a V6 will be a nice one and she as some tin worm to to cut out, so you can follow that as and when,the B2 and the S-spec builds will also get the revamp, builds are on here.
It makes no difference to me whether it's my own or a fellow owners, what makes my own any different to feel the need to hide it for a ego or image booster, no thank you, what you see is what you get, i don't do bullsh*t, no one in the scene has a perfect car 100% regardless of who they are or what they do and what they say.

So the last bits and back using her for the time being as the irish friend is away to a new owner in 3 weeks....

So new aftermarket gauges to fit,HU, spray wiper arms and head light cases, and cavity wax the box sections and we are good to go, i will respray the dash in summer....

Cavity wax being put it,front lip re-painted,wiper arms painted,new bottom windscreen scuttle grille ordered,boot lid aligned tear panel sprayed from poor paint work, headlight units repainted;s/steel back plate etc made up to fit number plate,mouth grille removed and over spray/paint removed and from tow eye..again bad attention to detail from being painted, surface rust from the edges of the s/steel kick plates made good...and wind down adding stickers....more to follow on sunday...

Been busy...cavity wax for two bays..Retro jap HU with cassette...new gauges but they have sent the wrong colour temp gauge...grrr....sone of vlads stuff fitted more to add...two S/steel back plate off sets made for daryl and mine...new scuttle arrive tuesday..wipers,head light units and lipsprayed,mouth grille of to remove the thick black paint from the spray job...yet something that makes the soray job poor....sprayed the back 1/4 panel from the poor spray job ,boot lid aligned..more tomoz..
