What class are you planning on entering?

Looking at your build thread and the mods you've made, I'd guess Sports Libra..... That'll be a tough class...

Have you been reading a different Blue Book?

Can't see that your car will pass Mod Prod - you've cut the top of the screen off..... You'll never get that past these two rules....

12.4. The chassis or unitary construction must remain to the manufacturer’s original specification in construction and material within the wheel hub centres with the exception of the following....

12.5.1. Silhouette of the vehicle as seen in side elevation must remain unaltered, with the exception of engine bonnet/cover and boot lid/rear deck.

That's why I said Sports Libre....

That's what I thought, but according to a current MSA scrutineer he reckons its ok as is?

Don't tell me I'm up against the libre boys.... Time for a second opinion! :???:

Not sure you've been well informed...

Won't pass the 12.5.1 under protest, even if you got it through the scruts... It doesn't have the silhouette of an MX5, there's no debating that......

12.4 - well there's no doubt you've changed the chassis.... Needless to say I've had an interesting discussion last year with a Chief Scruttineer about what is the "unitary construction" and I understand Gurston will be applying that quite strictly this season (they didn't last but told those who needed to know what would happen this year)......

And that ignores the safety arguement they might have about the cut too....

Oh and Gurston Comp Sec runs a MK2 MX5 in that very class.... and you'll need to go some to catch him.... (200bhp plus - believe it dino'd at 240!) I know the engine builder and Comp Sec personally...

Wouldn't go near Libre without ÂŁ500k in my pocket....

Nearly had to cancel first part of the season due to a drive shaft issue... My LSD box needs a special drive shaft!

Thankfully, Mazda Mender has sorted the first part of getting them and now it's down to ParcelForce and then me......

Be doing at least the 2 Prescott events Andrew but in standard sports car class under Porsche Cheletenham champs, pondering rejoining HSA but money's tight this year (so Memsahib tells me !!!) hope to do at least one Gurston but time will tell, guess the other very quick competitor/Comps man at Gurston is Paul Webster, been very helpful to me over the last 2 years, thank goodness in a different class, b Rgds, Paul H.
