Underseal Prep

Postby drumtochty » Thu Mar 26, 2015 7:45 pm

When cleaning the underside prior to undersealing what do most people use.

A power washer so cold water!

Wayne's Garden Spray with Traffic Film Remover that he had a quiz about last year.

A steam cleaner.

I have seen some toy steam cleaners that you would use to clean windows but to get any blast behind it, I assume you need an electric pump but the heat coming from diesel oil which would costs a lot of dosh and is really an industrial piece of kit.

I just use elbow grease & wire brushes of any description. Then treat with rust converter prior to underselling but I'm sure others do there own thing
