Roof latch locking buttons

Postby Mazda Mender » Mon Sep 02, 2019 9:43 pm

These are a pain as i am sure many many owners know to well when they stop locking up and you use your sun visors to hold them in place, replacing the full latch, doing the horrid screw fix, or the need to whack it with a rubber mallet....
Will these do away with all that and works and you have a solid click in locking unlike the OE ones ever did or will, the buttons are easy enough to replace, ( i'll do a guide ) but Paul as done one that he sends out with the repair buttons ( PDF at the bottom of the page).
These will be a welcome fix for the MK 2/2.5 owners that have latches made of cheese, The MK 1 units are a bit more solid and last far longer but they will also stretch and deform over time the same as the newer latches.

I am really impressed with these and will make sure i have them on the shelf, we will be bring some for demo reasons at the events etc we do attend, we a before and after good old blue peter style.

These will sort the top latches on the soft tops and Hard tops including the side latches on the hard tops from 1989 >2005
