I've noticed 2 problems. One serious and one that's a minor annoyance to me.
The important one is that with the new look we seem to have lost the link in the header to FAQs & How Tos...

The less important one is this: I often use the forum on my mobile. I try to use it the same way as on my laptop but have to zoom in to be able to click buttons/follow links.
So, I go to "View unread posts" then have to zoom in to be able to click the links. With the old look this was ok as the links to the various pages was on the left following the thread titles. That meant I could always go direct to the latest page. With the new look the pages are on the right so I mostly don't notice that there are more than one page and I go to P1... then have to go to the latest page.
Like I said, it's a minor annoyance but it would be so much simpler if the page numbers were next to the thread title like it was on the old look.

I quite like the dark look, I find it easy on the eyes myself...

What I bloody HATE is these stoopid roll-over pop-open menus where you move your mouse from one bit of screen to another, accidentally brush past a menu and suddenly what you wanted to click is covered by another HUGE pop-open menu and you end up clicking that instead, or peeing around trying to get rid of the thing before you can do what you originally wanted to do.

If you have any control over such things, please for the love of god make the hover delay longer so I can safely move my mouse around again!

I gree with Jon on the delay thing ,but i do like the drop down menus, we also need to sort out the top ,because it looks like a 3 year old as just slapped a couple of pics on, the FAQ's and how tos is very important, if the board drops down a little more into the sea, then so be it, i most say at this point,,,,,,thank you andrey, as i know your personal work load and i am sure my hear ache does not help, and i know what hours you put in just to get this up and what times it was being done, i know we'll get there, we all just want it right buddy, so thank you from me, and get your finger out, as once this is in some how sorted, we need to add the other looks :handgestures-thumbup: :coffee:

Well I've had to go back to the old scheme. I like the new sceme apart from what I mentioned before:

I suffer the same thing on the pc. I go to View Unread Posts then open each post in a new tab (ctrl+click). I keep opening page 1 for every post as I don't notice the page numbers over on the right. I thought I might get used to it after a while so I've given myself a chance to learn but I just don't find it natural to look to the right of each link to look for page numbers. If they could be moved back to the left directly after the link then I'll go back to the new scheme.

The other colour schemes should be good also, some will be done for a good reason, more on that when they are locked in.

@Lazza Neither the dark or light versions of the new look will be ideal for mobile use. Im surprised you are using the old look on a mobile as I found that to be awful. Either way, as a response to this we are also releasing a mobile friendly version of the forum. Dont forget there is also Tapatalk which now available for free.

Regarding the page numbers, yes I agree with you there, they should be below the thread title. I will change that.

Regarding the links to FAQs etc, yep I genuinely forgot to put them in

@BinaryPunk We could change the drop down menus so that you have to click them in order for them to activate them. However, a number of them are designed so that when you do click on them they take you somewhere (Eg the Home icon will take you to the index page, the magnifying icon will take you to the full search page etc). I would not recommend introducing a delay, and it will probably take all night writing out why thats not a good idea.

I am certainly very intrigued why you are having problems making the drop downs go away. The mouse only needs to be a millimetre off the menu in order for it to go away. The only explanation I can think of is that you have a screen resolution where the drop down menu fills your entire screen. Could you send me (or post on here) a screen shot of when you have your drop down activated.

I think that covers everyone?

I might be unique in that I use the browser back button all the time....but if I look at a thread, click back, move mouse an inch or so towards the next thread, I always (have to) go past the menu and even the 50ms that I am over the 'home' icon fills just over half my (1280x800) screen with menu. Top to bottom it's bigger than the page, and maybe 3/5 of the width. I then need to move over to the right of the screen then back again. It's more annoying because it happens about 10 times a minute...every now and then would be fine.

I'm only talking a 1/4 second delay or something, it's just because it is so instantaneous that even moving the mouse quickly from one place to another it pops over my screen.

I also just hate when any system does things without a positive action from me, so for my sensibilities a click-open would be better. I work quite quick (I've worked with and on computers for 20 years, so I move and click in a heartbeat without even really aiming, so I invariably end up on whatever subforum happens to be in the same place as the topic I wanted to click!

AO can you make this new one the default look so other owners can give feed back to buddy, and the main first one as a option to pick which will go with the others for others to choose please buddy, and maybe move this thread so it can be found easier or start a fresh one in chat and banter maybe?
