Interesting new conversion. V6 MX5

Postby phildent » Sat Mar 04, 2017 6:02 pm

Don't really know if this is the right place for this but here goes.

http://www.rocketeerltd.com/

Looks seriously interesting, very tempted particularly since deposits are returnable if it doesn't reach its target of 25.
Having been into hot rodding all my life this is the best engineered swap I have seen and a new Jag V6 for £2000 sounds a bargain.
Makes dodgy turbo kits look like very poor value for money.

The V6 kit is British and I know about the v8's.Having driven a V8 LS conversion in the states it turns the mx5 into a point and squirt machine completely alien to its original concept we all love.
Cannot comment on the Lexus V8 but I suspect it will be very similar.
The beauty of the V6 seems to be the retention of the mx5 character.I am going to arrange a test drive and will post after doing so.Strikes me as a perfect upgrade.
