Menders in Northern Ireland?

Postby Yolo » Tue Apr 02, 2013 10:01 pm

Hi all just a quick note to ask if there are any menders over this side of the pond? The advice and help you guys offer is great and I would love to have some a bit closer to home. I am keen to get the hands dirty but don't want to mess up and to be honest the manuals are double Dutch on some things... Good job guys keep it up!

Will watch out for him anyone this side of the pond would be great. Car going grand but a second opinion would help as I think it's a bit loose in the back ESP in the wet so a bit of experience would be useful to this novice.....

Could be they are new but maybe not great quality. This was the first thing I checked along with the pressures. Bushes are a bit worn so maybe wouldn't help either. More to sort but part of what it's about I guess... Lol.

Even if they are new, if someone has fitted 'Ditchfinders' then the car will not like them one bit, also what pressure are you running, should be 26psi.

Alignment too. If the alignment is bad then it doesn't matter what tyres are fitted.

Captain that is a great line "ditchfinders" but also kind of worrying... The car is great but I have to say in my humble opinion it is way too tail happy so much so that I won't bring it out in the wet. I drive a Seat Exeo as a daily car which is not the most exciting but deffinately more stable which is why I question the current set up. I love the car and am really pleased but am a complete novice and am not sure where to start to get it just right mostly because the shiny bits are so tempting. The MOT had an advisory that the back bushes showed some wear but no excessive movement this might also be an issue. Any ideas what would be involved here could a novice tackle it?? If not what sort of cost to replace them?

I will check the tyes tonight and post what is on the car later.
