I agree Mazy.
A few of us were talking over the weekend about this site. It would be good if the target of the site is stuck firmly in view for the future. Facts, mods, track & help & tips about the cars etc. It would be nice not seeing it turn into a forum with chit chat about things like how many more chips i had on my plate than yours at our last meet & stuff like that. I know i'm probably one of them on other sites that does post up a load of crap but thats on them sites (which i do enjoy in my owne silly way) I hope you dont mind me making this point? as i would not like it to become just another site & i know you like talking straight from posts you have written elsware ;) I am only speaking for myself, not others & im sure that with the people you have chosen to intrust with being part of this forum at the start (as they all seem of strong charactor) will give there views. Hope you dont mind me blabbing? but thats off my chest mate. Nuf said

I to do not want this to just become just another website and forum like the rest,EVER, i had a view of what i wanted for the owners out there, if you like ...."I had a dream",lol, i know what i want and what is needed, it is just a case of how to lay it out and be easy to use, but we do need owners input for all this to work for the many.
I will put the spare time in as will Chris with me, for this to go in the right direction,we have some great owners joined and joining that are hands on, but we must also have a bit of banter otherwise it will be a boring place to be. all tech and no play = bored
But as i have said this is not my place, but the owners, for their use, for the greater good.

I do agree with Skuzz that the FAQ/How To sections should be locked and should only be for finished products i.e. good high quality advice and not an area for discussion as discussions invariably have someone giving bad advice among the good.
The rest of the forum is where the questions should be asked and the advice can be honed and agreed before a finished article would be copied to the FAQ/How to sections.

I am looking forward to this site being full of people who are either giving or looking for good advice but are also here to enjoy themselves. Some straight talking would be good (I know that's what I'll be offering) but not in a way that belittles anyone. We are all here for one good reason and that's the love of our cars and we should all offer as much help as possible to anyone asking for it. Like I said before, this site should turn into a central repository of knowledge, somewhere people from all the other forums would be directed when advice is asked on anything MX5.

A forum is only as good as the people on it though so it's up to all of us to make it a warm & welcoming place for everyone and to keep the good advice flowing :D

I think pretty much everyone on here at the moment will have a shared vision for how things should be. The challenge will come once it's opened to the masses and people try to use it as a chat room or bring their petty disputes here from other forums. We'll certainly be on the lookout for that sort of thing and stamp it out before it has a chance to spread

Photobucket Mobile is the same as the web version. Just copy & paste the [IMG] link from PH into the post and the image will appear.

Hmm. That image appears on my phone on Tapatalk just fine but isn't appearing on the website forum...
Aha! It's too big! Needs to be max 2000x2000.

Hmm. Again. I've resized the picture to 1800x1350 and I still can't post it as it still says:
"Your images may only be up to 2000 pixels high.
Your images may only be up to 2000 pixels wide."
