For the last two months including this one you Co as found it correct in trying to take out my payment by direct debit a day early than the contract is agreed with yourself and in doing this i was charged a extra £20 by AF and charges from my bank for funds not being in AS THEY WILL NOT BE BECAUSE YOU ARE TRYING TO TAKE THEM OUT A DAY EARLY....now the same thing as happened again this month,, PLEASE BE AWARE.....I WILL NOT BE PAYING THE £20 FOR YOUR MISTAKE AND WILL INCURE BANK CHARGES YET AGAIN, AND I ALSO WANT MY £20 AND MY BANK CHARGES BACK PLEASE FROM LAST MONTH ASAP PLEASE,,,OTHERWISE...I WILL TAKE MY CUSTOM ELSE WHERE ,I HAVE HAD NO ISSUES IN THE LAST 2/3 YEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN WITH YOU UNTIL NOW....REST ASSURED I AM NOT HAPPY, I MEAN THIS>>>>GET THIS SORTED OUT NOW, OR WE MOVE AND YOU ARE OFF THIS BOARD.
Is this happening to anyone else? are we giving away free hard earned money for nothing from someone else's mistake.
I have a renewal that as just come through and will be ringing other insurance Co's, and will have no bones in ripping it up for the bin, as this will happen again next month and so on, and i NOT prepared to throw away good money for nothing, so it is in your best interest to get this sorted , i will be calling tomorrow for a solution for good on this.
The date was set at the 20Th of the month for a reason,NOT the 19TH of the month as my wages WILL NOT BE FUDGING IN.....GET IT

Not had happen to me with car ins as I always pay up front for the year, but it has happened a couple of times with other direct debits from a company I no longer use for the very same reason.

Have you had a response from AF yet??

They all live in a dream world & think we are all rolling in it. I only transfer funds into a credit account as needed so I'd have the same problem. Not right if dates agreed & they try & take it before that date. Send them a bill for the bank charges Wayne then it's legal & it will make them sort it out

I am a 3 strike out man and if this happens again and the £80 i have in charges is not met, then yes i will be looking for another Co to be insured with and taken off the board.
£40 a month over 12 months for free is a lot of money wasted.

You have my sympathy M-M, however I think you'll find a lot of firms do this.

If you tried to claim on your insurance policy the day after it expired, would they pay? I don't think so, so why one rule for them and another for us??

Will be interesting to see what Dan has to say? Did he PM you as promised on the other thread?

Hasn't happened to me as I pay in one go.....don't like other people getting interest paid on my money. As already said, they wouldn't pay up for something that happened the day after the end of insurance, why con us.

Also (forgive my blonde head while I make next statement)....by agreeing to insurance , which includes set payment date, if they collect early, doesn't early collection count as them breaking contract!

I know some direct debits/standing orders may put a statment to do with collection within certain number of days of set day, but, common sense would tell me a date is set for a reason.....ie PAY DAY!

I'm not totally happy with AF at the moment & will be considering my options, unfortunately I have a few more months to wait for my renewal.

Let us know how you get on M-m

Remove them from the forum. I am not happy with them for things that happened earlier in the year. No customer service.

To be fair it is not flux but a 3rd party yet again letting them down.
FLUX.... you really need to get these 3rd parties by the balls and rip them off, they are doing you no favours what so ever.

Any who....the money WILL be refunded, premium credit who deal with their direct debits have held their hands up after the guys at flux have kicked off with me to get this sorted to, as they changed the date to the 19th from the 20th, but yet again it as been a number of phone calls to fight a corner, Craig and Grant are the boys, and the lady that was trying to help me through all the shouting, was spot on and hats of to her for not putting the phone down on me, she is a credit to flux on how she dealt with me and hope that it was recorded for training on how to deal with a pi**ed off customer.
I have a renewal waiting and to be honest i am in two minds from also being involved with Wayne's and Liz's stories, we wait and see, big talk in mods section chaps.

Stay safe.

Just thought I would add some comments on the Flux experience.

The renewal email came through from Adrian Flux, so being a tight arsed Yorkshire man, I start ringing around and hitting the keys to see if the renewal quote was indeed as stated competitive, it wasn't.

I therefore rang Flux to say that I was not renewing and required proof of our NCD.

To which the nice young lady asked what was my best quote.

I told no lies and passed the details of three quotes all significantly cheaper, I was asked would I mind if she checked through my quote and would I mind holding a few minutes, well I did mind but agreed.

Two minutes later, Flux suddenly give me a price that beat the lowest quote I had received from Performance Direct.

I have obviously stayed with Flux but it was close!!

So what is going on, give me the best price at the first time of asking please.
