Third MX5, this is becoming a habit!

Postby ian_c » Wed Aug 16, 2023 12:08 pm

After an NC and ND2, there was only one place to go… NA!

Only my NA isn’t na… as the previous owner left their hairdryer under the bonnet.

I’m based just north of Wigan nr J27, and will always give an enthusiastic wave / pop up of lights if I see you.

Currently messing with suspension - when I’ve settled on a ride height, can anyone recommend somewhere wiganish for alignment?

Cheers!

Sorry, my NA (mk1) isn't na (naturally aspirated), as it has a TD04 turbo...

Are you Standish way also?

Great. It’s on coilovers, recently fitted longer front springs after maxing out the perch adjustment on old shorties. Thought I had got it to a great height to clear speedbumps etc, then fitted splitter which lightly “brushes” them, so going to raise it a bit more!

I did, but need to go a bit further. Still catching tarmac with the splitter on bumpy roads - job for this weekend.

Great run out today, think I’ve found the right height / damper settings for cross country.

@mazda mender - is HW Moon still the local alignment specialist of choice? Do you have any recommended settings for “fast road”?

Mazdamenders fast road/motorway settings are in the machine and and will be the settings dialed in unless you ask for the OE basic heart in your mouth settings for the really boring and don't want to know how much better these can become and feel ;0).
