Mk2.5 electric window switch into a MK 2 NB

Postby Mazda Mender » Sun Sep 02, 2018 9:24 pm

Some owners with the UK spec MX5 Mk2 NB's are upgrading their centre arm rest to the Mk2.5 version and are also upgrading the electric window switch for the auto feature of the Mk 2.5, this is a quick guide on how to sort the wiring plug to get it working with the Mk2 electrics, this can also be used the other way if needed Mk2 NB into the MK 2.5 NB...

The Roadster we are using for this is a Japanese market Mk 2 NB 1998 V.S Roadster, so there maybe some differences with wire colours between versions?

It is pretty simply but a bit faffy...
You will need ...
1 x electric window switch of choice
1 x small screw driver
1 x long pin

Leave the ignition off for this....

Get your plug connection and using the small screw driver pop the locking in plastic in the centre out and free from the plug and put it somewhere safe...
