Postby Mazda Mender » Mon Jul 31, 2017 7:11 am

I was asked by Ross Mckee if i could do a quick straight forward simple guide to use and follow, hope this helps buddy....

This is a simple thing to do and only requires two tools...
A paper clip and a turner inner and outer stick (screw driver)...

Kick the Mx-5, Eunos, Miata into life and WAIT until she is at running temp, wait for the cooling fan to kick in and out, do not do this while she is cold , you will not solve anything and waste your time.
Once at running Temp, push the ends of the paper clip into the GND and TEN pins as a loop... the diagnostic box is found on the right hand side of the engine bay looking in from the front near the intake snorkel on the inner wing...

Take the bridge/ jumper loop/paper clip out out from the diagnostic socket, and see where she sits on the rev counter, you may need to bridge it again and tweak until you are happy..

And thats it, put the super duper bridge tool (paper clip) safe in the glove box, as it can be used for other things with the diagnostic socket..

As always any questions , please ask, it's what we are here for.
