Modifing the Zoom fuel lid to pop up correct

Postby Mazda Mender » Tue May 13, 2014 8:37 pm

The problem with the Zoom Engineering fuel lid is that the piece of metal that is meant to act as a spring to pop the lid is rubbish in that when you press it down shut it squashes flat so ends up doing nothing and you cannot open the lid to fill up.
The simple fix is.... all you need to do is add a good spring behind that piece of metal and the body of the lid with a good length and tension, but not too much and not to long, making sure that if the piece of metal as squashed flat that you put the curve back in, which then makes the piece of metal act as the spring it should of been in the first place to pop free from the release button when popped from the inside of the Roadster.
Any way pictures speak a thousand words....
