So new topic from my cutting out problem,connected up diagnostic and codes are 1 long flash ,and 8 quick flashes which flags up

Took my hardtop off my car and tried to close mohair soft top. As I tried to close the zip to hold the rear glass window in place, the slider from the zip got stuck, eventually causing me to break the pull tab.

hi , i seem to think the garage that did my Mot work put a Mk2 front drop link on , instead of a Mk1. why i think that is the new one has ball joints where the old one didnt.

The 5 has been unused during lock down, apart from MoT in January. Pass.

hi all, just got 5 through MOT , they replaced 1 rear spring, im thinking should have had both done but hey ho

Hi,
My mk 2 is sadly lacking power. Considering its alleged horsepower it has very poor acceleration and no torque to brag about. As far as I can tell the brakes are not binding. The timing should be ok and electronic ignition should also be fine.
What is a realistic 0-60 time? Any hints/tips on...

Hi all.

Slid into, and mounted a kerb by a rural roundabout yesterday, and have knocked the alignment way out. Main suspect is the rear n/s wheel. Went under to check damage (sill a bit squashed, but that needs replacing anyway, so has just moved up the to-do list to No2 after this!) and all ok....

No, not the air con although it does need some attention.

In recent weeks the radio is loosing all yhe stored radio stations and settings.

It hasn't been removed since it was installed a few years back and has worked faultlessly till this year.

It still works on the ignition and illuminates...

So I have been cleaning up the induction air cone and found that the Mass Air Flow meter has a gungey oil crap all over the front grill and possibly on the sensor itself.

Hi Guys, the blower only works at setting 4 and I was advised to buy a new resister which I have done.
Angie is a Mk 2 2002 plate. I think the resister is behind the glove box. If it is, how do I get to it? Any help is appreciated.
