Re: NB wishbones on a NA?

:text-goodpost: Great info @Zed, thanks very much. I’m really just trying to avoid having to get the all joints out of the front uppers as I haven’t got a press. The bottoms are just bolt on (from what I can see). As long as the taper angle is the same, using a spacer will probably do the job. The a...

NB wishbones on a NA?

Will the front upper wishbone listed as for a 1.8 Mk2 98-05 fit on the mark1, also a 1.8?
I was wondering because they’re £180 a corner from MX5Parts and I can get them for £60ish on eBay brand new. My Ball joints are jiggerd (oo’er misses :-D )

Re: Oil cooler hose. Oh Dear!

Also whilst it’s off (and may never go on again!) I’ve cleaned up the rear of the throttle body and inside the intake which was an oily mess but a lot better than I expected probably because there’s no EGR fitted 9F1D8054-E679-4049-8C52-DDEED2CD695D.jpeg DEC20F4E-200C-4F1A-9DB2-E327CAC1D6C3.jpeg 3D5...

Re: Oil cooler hose. Oh Dear!

Yes mate, 12mm lower nut from stud 3 of 4 counting from the front. Fell down - not into intake! - and god knows where it’s gone. I suspect it’s stuck in a load of oily goo behind the starter somewhere, I’ve had a fish around with a magnet pen (and found the 12mm socket I also lost  ) If it does...

Re: Oil cooler hose. Oh Dear!

So, serious question, I cannot find the pipe that comes out of the cooler into the throttle body. All out of stock everywhere I’ve looked. Obviously I’ve got the intake off now - could I use some good quality fuel hose I’ve got that has the same inner diameter for this one hose? This particular hose...

Re: Oil cooler hose. Oh Dear!

Oh God! Right, well I’ve ordered the hose from Autolink. I’ve also ordered the hose from the cooler to the throttle body air valve thingy as well as I thought I may as well do that at the same time. I’m now regretting that “wise” decision! When it comes and we get a half decent day, I’ll post the in...
