Hi M-m Tried to show wiring ( or lack of it ) on my gear selector you can see the two wiring connectors I described. Thanks once again Wayne, it now seems I have a spare bolt and broken plastic washer !
I hope I get 9 years from my gearbox, it should see me out ( I'm 71 now)

Hi, I recently changed the ATF and filter on my 1991 1.6, Eunos Automatic. My problem is one of the 10mm filter bolts won't tighten it seems to screw into a non captive nut which has moved, I have been told I can leave this bolt out with no problems ! Thanks for the further info ! I will use the plug off my old selector with plenty of wire then join it to new selector again with plenty of wire ! Loads of extra length.

Thanks for the information but my query is really, how do I remove the gear selector handle/knob. It looks like I have to disconnect the overdrive wiring and remove it with the knob and then feed it back down on replacement ! Any ideas on this ?
