Electric window switches

Hi menders

Does anyone know if the mk2.5 window switches (the one with the auto switch on drivers window) will fit a mk2 car? in other words, is the 'auto' function bit within the switch itself?

Is the wiring the same?

Regards as always.....

NB Door problems - Help please

Hi m-ms I have an NB with a large hole in the side where the door used to be. Door hinges have also been removed from the car and the door (for painting). It's now time to replace everything and my question is 'How do I do it'. Do I put the hinges on the door first, then put door on the car? If so, ...

Mk2 1.8i Sport

Hi mm's

I've just fitted a TIM Oil Temperature gauge to my Mk2 1.8i and on a good steady run, noticed that the oil temperature sits at 100 degrees C. Is this normal? or am I running hot for some reason?

Regards

Emissions - Mk2

Would a small exhaust blow at the rear box make the lambda reading go high?

Mk2 Manual Transmission

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have a photo of a 5 speed manual gearbox showing which switch is the reversing light switch? It's very close to the neutral switch and I'm confused as to which switch is which? :confusion-confused: They both look very similar....

Thanks guys

Re: Mk2 Sport - with Bilstein suspension

Ok menders, just wanted to update you on this.... I've just tried covering a spring with black waterproof Heat Shrink. Bit of a job, but its turned out ok :-D I used 24mm unshrunk heat shrink tubing, with a 3:1 shrink rate - the spring coil diameter being 10.5mm (ish) The hard part was getting the t...

Mk2 Sport - with Bilstein suspension

Hi Menders, a few things please..... Am I right in saying that the longer springs go on the rear of the car? (there is about 25mm difference in length between the 2 sets of springs that I have) Also, the springs seem to be colour coded - the longer ones have grey paint marks on 2 of the coils and th...
